Instructional Designer

Our Financial Services client is seeking an Instructional Designer to join their team for the next 12 months, 40 hours/week. This role is hybrid onsite 3-4 days a week in Westlake, TX. Role SummaryThis contractor focuses on translating change impacts into effective training and enablement materials that help employees successfully adopt new processes, tools, and ways of working. Top Must Have Skills2-4 years of experience in training development, instructional design, or learning support rolesWorking knowledge of adult learning principlesExperience creating structured training content and job aidsBasic understanding of change management concepts and how training supports adoptionStrong organizational, documentation, and communication skillsAdditional QualificationsExperience with e-learning tools such as Articulate or CaptivateFamiliarity with learning management systems (LMS)Exposure to technology, process, or operating model changesResponsibilitiesPartner with change managers to understand change impacts and learning needsDesign and develop training assets, including instructor-led materials, self-paced learning content, job aids, quick reference guides, and process walkthroughsSupport training plans and learning timelines aligned to change milestonesEnsure training content aligns with change messaging and target behaviorsParticipate in testing, review, and refinement of training materials based on stakeholder feedbackSupport coordination with learning platforms or delivery partners as neededIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information.
