Database / Performance EngineerWe are looking for a hands-on Database / Performance Engineer to support the build, deployment, monitoring, synthetic data generation, and validation of database performance-testing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong database administration, performance testing, automation, and troubleshooting experience.Key Responsibilities:Build, configure, deploy, and maintain database performance-testing environments.Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform performance tuning and troubleshooting.Generate and manage synthetic test data for performance and load testing.Execute performance tests, validate results, analyze metrics, and provide recommendations.Develop automation/scripts for environment setup, testing, monitoring, and validation.Perform root cause analysis and resolve database/application performance issues.Work with application, infrastructure, and development teams to support performance-testing initiatives.Document test results, performance metrics, issues, and optimization recommendations.Must-Have Skills – Should Be Clearly Mentioned on Resume:Database Engineering / Database AdministrationDatabase Performance Tuning & OptimizationPerformance Testing / Load Testing / Stress TestingSynthetic Test Data GenerationSQL and strong database query optimizationDatabase Monitoring & TroubleshootingRoot Cause Analysis (RCA)Automation / Scripting – Python, Shell, or similarExperience building and deploying performance-testing environmentsPerformance metrics, benchmarking, analysis, and validationExperience working with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similarStrong understanding of database architecture, indexing, execution plans, and query performancePreferred:Experience with performance-testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similarExperience with cloud database environments (AWS/Azure)CI/CD and DevOps exposureExperience with monitoring tools and performance dashboardsIdeal Candidate: A hands-on engineer who can build the environment → generate synthetic data → execute performance tests → monitor/analyze results → identify bottlenecks → tune the database → validate improvements.
