Phipps also will provide employees with the opportunity to have a fulfilling work experience.JOB DESCRIPTION:The Warehouse Associate will perform a variety of routine shipping, receiving, production and housekeeping tasks. Shipping tasks include picking, packaging and shipment of orders. Receiving tasks include loading and unloading truck shipments and stocking the warehouse shelves. Production tasks include material handling, cutting machine operation. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Inventory ManagementPerforming inventory cycle counts daily entering counts into systemInvestigating inventory discrepanciesChecking and identifying material that is nearing shelf lifeAccurately receiving purchase orders into the systemManaging the transfer of materials and equipment between branchesShippingPrepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket and customer requirementsNotify the Branch Manager of shortagesPackage and ship materialsStock shelves in the warehouseCommunicate with Branch Manager on inventory - low levels and shelf life critical materialUse P21 operating system (training on system will be provided)ReceivingReceive and unload incoming material and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment & enter into systemSort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is receivedInspect shipments for damages, loss, or defects, and notify the supervisor of findingsResponsible for accurately receiving, reporting and putting away orders/transfersStock shelves in the warehouseOperate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading material and equipmentREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Warehouse and forklift experienceTeamwork, Coordination, Organization, Time Management, DependableEffective communication/comprehension skills - verbal and writtenMath SkillsBasic computer skillsPhysical Requirements: lifting materials up to 100 lbs., requires frequent standing/walkingHigh School Diploma or GEDBENEFITS:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k) matchingHealth savings accountPaid time offReferral program
