Our client is seeking a driven and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to support growth within the building/construction and industrial markets. This role is responsible for developing new business, managing existing accounts, and serving as a trusted partner to contractors, builders, and industrial clients. The ideal candidate thrives in a field-based environment, understands jobsite dynamics, and is motivated by building long-term customer relationships.Outside Sales Representative ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development:Develop a target list / pipeline of custom home builders, general contractors, and project managers in the specified marketConduct cold calls, site visits, and networking to generate new opportunitiesUtilize provided local building permit data to determine target accountsStay up to date on current industry trends and best practices to incorporate them into sale presentation strategy and executionBuild a strong consultative sales strategy to be viewed as a product expert in the marketProvide product recommendations and solutions tailored to client needsPresent, inform and demonstrate products/services Accurately read house plans and blue prints to develop accurate material lists for a saleAccurately use a tape measure to check framing sizes on residential job sitesUtilize Microsoft Office Suite products daily including Word, Excel, and PowerPointUtilize Microsoft D365 to track all opportunities from discovery to close of saleAccount Management:Respond to sales orders in a timely manner Ensure material list is accurate before finalizing order by accurately reading house plans and blue prints and ensuring correct measurements Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunitiesWork with builders, architects, and interior designers to complete projectsIdentify areas on the house plans that will pose a challenge and bring them to the builders attention prior to installationAssist with managing the jobsite and working with builders to get the jobsite ready for installationCollaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, customer service) to ensure seamless deliveryConduct final walk-throughs with clients present to ensure satisfaction Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionallyUtilize Microsoft Office Suite products daily including Word, Excel, and PowerPointUtilize Microsoft D365 to track all opportunities from discovery to close of saleUndertake other projects as assignedQualifications:Prior experience in B2B product sales, preferably in manufacturing, building, architectural, design, or related industries3-5 years of experience in B2B outside hunting sales roleAssociates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred Experience growing a customer base and onboarding new accountsExperience in a consultative sales roleStrong organizational and project management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Suite productsWillingness to work on dynamic jobsitesReliable and working vehicleAbility to lift and carry up to 30lbsBenefits:Base Salary plus bonuses and commissionFlexibility to create your own schedule100% Employer Covered Medical InsuranceDental and Vision Insurance Plans401k with employer match$500 monthly vehicle allowanceCompany gas cardCellphone and laptop providedLocation:Dallas, TX
