Lead Development Intern

Lead Development Intern RCN Capital is a national, direct private lender supporting real estate investors across the country. We're seeking an intern for our Lead Development Specialist (LDS) team in our South Windsor, CT office. The team is responsible for supporting our Loan Officers and Originations team by handling inquiries from prospective clients and broker partners. By providing administrative support with the goal of shepherding loans to closing and onboarding new partners, the LDS team clears the way for RCN Capital to meet their goals. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced setting! Responsibilities:Goals for Internship: Learn the operations of the Lead Development team by: Working with prospective new brokers to onboard them and shepherd them through the process of submitting deals to RCN Following up with leads to get needed information necessary to provide a quote Performing data entry tasks to ensure that all leads and progress on pre-qualification is documented in the system Working on additional tasks and projects as assigned Requirements:Exemplary written and verbal communication skills Strong computer literacy, including MS Excel and other MS Office applications Friendly and confident phone manner Ability to work well in a team setting Desire to learn about the real estate lending industry and loan originations Current matriculation in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or customer support role Experience working in a bank or taking coursework around real estate or lending preferred Educational Paths of Interest:Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Finance, Real Estate or related field Work Schedule:Full time during internship - 40 hours/week Onsite in either: Charlotte, NC Los Angeles, CA Standard schedule is Monday-Friday, 9AM to 6PM Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
