Deputy Program Manager
Overview
In this role you will support the program lead to deliver complex, technically demanding projects on time and within budget. You will oversee cross-functional activities, manage cost and schedules, and serve as the primary customer interface. You will monitor scope, schedule, and financials, ensuring alignment with the SOW and contract requirements. The position offers on-site work with some travel, contributing to defense-related programs and systems. This is a hands-on leadership role with impact on project performance and customer satisfaction.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop mechanisms to monitor progress and enable intervention and problem solvingIntegrate all functions and activities to meet customer requirements for the project/programDirect personnel, manage cost and schedules, ensure contract compliance, and act as customer liaisonMonitor scope, schedule, and budget to keep them well defined and maintainedAssess contract complexity factors including tech, schedule, cost, risk, subcontractors, and customer complexity
Key requirementsBachelor in Engineering, Science, Business, or Technical DisciplineAt least 3 years of experience managing a large technical effortAt least 3 years of experience managing large projects with planning, scheduling, and team coordinationExperience with combat systems facilities related to Aegis, Aegis BMD, or SSDS weapon and combat systems, WBS, spending plans, and financial trackingAbility to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance (active preferred)Travel up to 25% and ability to obtain REAL ID for access to secure facilitiesStrong communication with customers and cross-functional teamsProblem-solving and intervention capabilitiesLeadership and coordination of diverse teamsCombat systems facilities experience (Aegis, Aegis BMD, SSDS)Work breakdown structures (WBS)Financial tracking and spending plans
