This role will support an attorney handling complex insurance defense and business litigation matters. This role is ideal for a paralegal with a background in insurance defense, liability litigation, or construction law who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This Firm offers excellent benefits and a hybrid working schedule.Civil Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:Assist attorneys with case preparation, from inception through trial and appeal.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.Assist in deposition, mediation, and trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness coordination.Handle e-filing in both state and federal courts.Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as needed.Review and summarize medical records, depositions, and other case-related documents.Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all legal matters.Track deadlines and maintain compliance with court and carrier requirementsAssist with trial prep including exhibits, binders, and witness coordinationCivil Litigation Paralegal Requirements:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal Certificate preferred.Minimum of 2+ years of defense litigation experience in a law firm setting.Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage.Civil Litigation Paralegal Salary + Benefits:Competitive salary.Generous health benefits package.Life and disability insurance.Hybrid working schedule.
