Teachers promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children and encourage parent involvement in all aspects of the program. Our Teachers develop individual goals for children, provide an ongoing assessment on progress and facilitate transition into kindergarten.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for planning and implementation of age appropriate activities that foster the cognitive emotional and physical growth of young children which is inclusive of children with special needs;Ensures that the classroom staff follows regulations set forth in the Head Start Performance Standards, the Employee Hand Book, and licensing requirements;Provides opportunities for the integration of other service areas (health, mental health, nutrition & safety);Responsible for weekly lesson plans, written reports, personal observations, screenings and assessments;Creating an environment that fosters and promotes parent engagement.QUALIFICATIONS:MUST hold Pre-School thru Grade 3 (P3) New Jersey State Certification (Standard or Certificate of Eligibility, Certificate of Eligibility w/ Advance Standing or Limited Certificate of Eligibility);Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K) or related field;Bilingual, English/Haitain Creole, preferred.IRVINGTON LOCATIONS:100 Linden Avenue10-12 Marshall Street*Candidates assignments will be based on program needs with consideration for employee preferences.STARTING SALARY:BA Degree - $64,597MA Degree - $65,594PhD - $70,008*All teaching experience will be considered during salary negotiationsFRINGE BENEFITS:Ten (10) Month PositionBenefit Package (Health, Prescription, Dental and Life Insurance) *Free Options Available403-B Retirement PlanSick and Personal daysPaid HolidaysWinter and Spring RecessState-of-the-Art ClassroomsMonthly Professional Development TrainingApplication Procedure: All interested candidates must apply online.
