Apply Today!Job DetailsPosition: Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)Location: Erie, PA 16509Assignment Type: Travel ContractDuration: 3 WeeksSchedule:10:00 PM – 6:30 AMRotating weekends and holidays requiredJob DescriptionPride Health is seeking an experienced Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for an urgent 3-week assignment in Erie, PA. The MLT will perform routine laboratory testing under the supervision of Medical Technologists and Laboratory Leadership while ensuring accurate and timely patient results.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine laboratory testing using automated and manual methodologies.Process and analyze patient specimens according to established laboratory procedures.Review, verify, and release test results accurately and efficiently.Maintain specimen integrity throughout the testing process.Perform quality control procedures and document all QC activities.Conduct instrument maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting as required.Follow laboratory policies and procedures for specimen handling, testing, and reporting.Identify and report testing issues or performance concerns to laboratory leadership.Document corrective actions and maintain accurate laboratory records.Report critical values according to established protocols.Maintain laboratory compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards.Participate in department training, educational programs, and safety initiatives.Assist with maintaining reagent inventory and monitoring expiration dates.Support laboratory operations and perform additional duties as assigned.Required QualificationsAssociate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Laboratory Science, or related field required.Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related science preferred.1–3 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.Strong understanding of laboratory quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.Ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.Required Pennsylvania Clearances & ComplianceCandidates must be able to obtain and/or provide:Pennsylvania Child Abuse History ClearancePennsylvania Access to Criminal History ClearancePennsylvania Department of Health & Human Services RequirementsPennsylvania Department of Aging ClearanceAdditional Requirements:MMR Immunity DocumentationHepatitis B Immunity or DeclinationRecent Quantiferon/TB TestFingerprinting Requirement:Candidates who have not been Pennsylvania residents for at least two consecutive years may be required to complete fingerprinting through the Pennsylvania Department of Aging.BenefitsPride Health offers eligible employees access to:Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Retirement PlanLife and Disability InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Travel Assignment SupportEmployee Discount ProgramsEqual Employment OpportunityPride Health is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace and providing equal opportunities to all qualified applicants.
