This role ensures safe and excellent delivery of individualized patient care. A day includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will cover CAT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine/PET. The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. They plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs. Identifying patient needs and determining priorities for care is essential through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiating assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs and the physician’s medical diagnosis is a key responsibility. Therapeutic nursing interventions will be performed. The nurse manages care for patients and documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. Advocating for evidence-based practice care standards and supporting the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery is expected. Patient-centric care is provided in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation will be collected. Age and disease-specific assessment/data collection will be performed independently in a systematic manner. Recognizing clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status is crucial. Identifying variables in patient/family education needs based on age, disease, and culturally specific learning differences is part of the role. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Weekend requirements include every fifth weekend. Holiday requirements are as needed. On-call requirements may be necessary.
