Lab Assistant - 1st shift

Job Title: Laboratory Assistant (Night Shift)Location: Marlborough, MADuration: 6 monthsShift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM EST (8.5-hour shifts, includes two 30-minute breaks)Pay Rate: $22.00/hr (W2)Summary:Support laboratory operations by performing routine tasks to ensure accurate specimen processing and efficient workflow.Key Responsibilities:Receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testingCentrifuge samples, aliquot, label, and maintain specimen storagePerform basic instrument maintenance and data recordingPrepare reagents/media and assist with slide preparation/inoculationHandle QA/QC tasks, resolve pending lists, and locate missing samplesMaintain clean, safe work areas and follow PPE/safety protocolsDispose of biohazard materials properlyUse laboratory computer systems and maintain recordsRequirements: High school diploma or equivalent (medical assistant training preferred)Basic math and science knowledgeStrong multitasking, organization, and communication skillsAbility to learn quickly and retain information
