Ideal candidates will be highly motivated professionals who are committed to supporting the team in an environment of growth and change.Role Summary:The Director of Finance is responsible for leading both strategic finance and accounting operations. this role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while driving budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support business decision-making. The director of Finance partners closely with executive leadership to improve financial performance, scale operations, and support growth initiatives.This position is remote to candidates based in AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, IL, MI, NC, NV, OR, SD, TN, TX, UT and/or WA. ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting; including management of junior resourcesOversee preparation of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statementsEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirementsManage all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billingEstablish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure audit readinessLead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning processesDevelop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and growth initiativesAnalyze financial performance, including revenue, margins, and cost drivers, and provide actionable insightsBuild and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting tools for executive leadershipPartner with department leaders to drive financial accountability and performance improvements, including performance of individual states/regions and client-level variationMonitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functionsSupport strategic initiatives including pricing, service line profitability, and market expansionAssist with M&A activities including financial analysis, due diligence, and integration planningOversee financial systems, reporting infrastructure, and process improvements to support scalabilityLead, develop, and manage finance and accounting team members, including outsourced vendors/partnersRequirements Generally, any combination of education that would provide the required knowledge and skills for successful performance would qualify. A typical method of demonstrating these requirements would be:EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred; MBA preferredEXPERIENCE:10–15+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, including both controllership and FP&A responsibilities. Experience in professional services, multi-entity, or high-growth environments preferred. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance, business needs and business results.
