Role: Senior Java Backend DeveloperLocation: Phoenix, Arizona – Onsite, 5 days per weekEmployment Type: W2 OnlyRequired Technical Skills:8+ years of professional software development experienceStrong hands-on backend development experience with Java, Spring and Spring BootExperience building scalable, distributed and low-latency enterprise applicationsStrong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, service contracts, integration patterns and API lifecycle practicesHands-on experience with Spring Batch, JUnit, JDBC, Gradle/Maven, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Kafka or similar event-driven/streaming technologies; Kafka Streams is highly preferredStrong understanding of distributed systems, caching, high availability, multithreading and performance optimizationExperience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB and other relational or NoSQL databasesExperience with Docker, GitHub and deployment automationStrong knowledge of automated testing, secure coding and continuous integration practicesAbility to work through complex and ambiguous technical requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience mentoring engineers while remaining hands-on with architecture, design and developmentPreferred Experience:Payment systems, real-time transaction platforms, customer account management, reporting platforms or FinTech APIsFull-stack development exposureData engineering experience with Python, Hadoop or SparkIn-memory computing and advanced application performance optimizationTechnical leadership, solution design facilitation and end-to-end delivery ownership
