Technology Operations CoordinatorResponsibilities Noblis is seeking a Technology Operations Coordinator to serve as the strategic right hand to the Chief Technology Officer. This role combines program management of Noblis Sponsored Research (NSR) and innovation initiatives with operational support that enables the CTO to drive Noblis' transformation into a recognized science and technology powerhouse. Under CTO direction, the ideal candidate will manage the execution of the technical innovation portfolio while ensuring operational excellence across the CTO's office.
Coordinate execution of NSR projects across the five (5) Noblis Innovation Vectors of AI & Autonomy, Applied sciences, Digital Engineering, Advanced Communications, and Cyber Security
Monitor project deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and measurable ROI
Track innovation lifecycle metrics connecting NSR investments to outcomes (publications, patents, client transitions, revenue impact)
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Innovation Vectors (R&D teams), Mission Areas, Research Centers, and Centers of Excellence
Contribute to executive briefings, status reports, and presentations on NSR portfolio performance for leadership and stakeholders
Support planning for the technical innovation portfolio, including investment prioritization and resource optimization
Coordinate activities related to Noblis Fellows program and academic engagement initiatives
Manage executive calendar with strategic prioritization of time allocation across innovation leadership, technical bench development, and organizational transformation initiatives
Organize and facilitate strategic meetings including Innovation Vector reviews, NSR portfolio reviews, and technical leadership forums
Prepare agendas, capture decisions and action items, and drive follow-through on commitments
Serve as primary liaison between the CTO and internal stakeholders (Mission Areas, Research Centers, Fellows) and external partners (academic institutions, government agencies, industry)
Coordinate travel, speaking engagements, and external visibility activities
Handle confidential strategic information with discretion
Support communication and change management for organizational initiatives related to AI adoption, technical quality, and technical leadership development
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Project Management, IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
1-3 years of experience in project coordination or project support roles, preferably in technology portfolio management
Demonstrated understanding of R&D processes and technology domains (AI/ML, software development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, modeling & simulation)
Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical information for executive audiences
Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities with proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, MS Project, etc.) and productivity software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with senior technical leaders and executives
Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in engineering, technology management, or related field
Program/project management certification (PMP, Agile, Scrum Master)
3+ years supporting C-level executives in technology or R&D organizations
Experience with innovation portfolio management, technology transition, or commercialization
Familiarity with federal R&D funding mechanisms and proposal processes
Background in strategic planning or organizational transformation initiatives
Experience working with technical fellows, distinguished engineers, or senior technical staff
