Senior Oracle Database Administrator - AWS Cloud Migration Specialist

DescriptionJoin a dynamic team at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) as a key player in migration efforts of Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS Cloud. This role focuses on supporting the development and management of various applications for NC FAST within the AWS Cloud environment.You will manage application schemas, design, and extensions across development, test, and production environments specifically for Oracle databases on Linux systems. Your expertise will also play a crucial role in providing database technical support, performance tuning, application administration, and consulting, primarily focused on Oracle technologies including Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate.ResponsibilitiesManage Oracle database instances on AWS/Linux.Lead the management of the Cúram application schema design and extensions.Install, configure, and troubleshoot Golden Gate for synchronization of batch and online processes for high-volume databases.Set up replication and ensure high availability for Oracle databases using tools such as Golden Gate.Monitor and troubleshoot Oracle database performance issues.Execute backups and restores of Oracle databases.Collaborate with application developers to pinpoint and refine data requirements and assist in SQL writing.SkillsStrong experience in Oracle database management on AWS.Familiarity with leveraging Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate.Proficient in performance tuning and troubleshooting Oracle databases.Experience with application schema design and extensions in database environments.Employment Type: Contractor
