Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Senior Fiscal Clerk to support the day-to-day financial operations and property management within a secure operations environment. This role is responsible for processing transactions, auditing and verifying funds, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and assisting internal and external customers.
The Senior Fiscal Clerk works closely with supervisors and staff to maintain accountability, accuracy, and security of financial and property records. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a structured, high-compliance environment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a cashier, fiscal clerk, or similar role involving public contact, cash handling, issuing receipts, and maintaining financial or property records
Experience auditing and verifying financial transactions and balances
Experience preparing reports and deposits for financial operations
Ability to assist with handling discrepancies, resolving customer issues, and supporting operational procedures
Experience maintaining compliance with safety, security, and operational policies
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
Valid State of Florida Driver’s License
Experience Preferences
Experience in a correctional, secure, or high-compliance fiscal environment
Experience managing or auditing inventory of items or property
Supervisory or lead experience overseeing staff, shifts, or operations
Experience assisting with internal policy creation or procedural documentation
Physical Requirements
Ability to work at a computer and process financial documents for extended periods
Ability to lift and transport items related to property or inventory (up to 10–20 pounds as required)
Ability to maintain focus in a secure, structured, and operational environment
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong numerical, organizational, and customer service skills
Education Preferences
Additional coursework in accounting, finance, or business administration
Training or certification in fiscal operations, cash handling, or inventory management
