Senior Accountant
Position SummaryThe Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing key accounting functions related to accounts receivable, cash management, banking activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting support. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions while supporting daily accounting operations, customer account management, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Accounts Receivable & CollectionsManage Accounts Receivable processes for E2, CE, and Show Management verticals.Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely and accurate invoice and payment application.Perform A/R collections activities, including customer follow-up, account resolution, and aging management.Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer payment issues.Maintain accurate customer account records and support documentation.Banking & Cash ManagementPrepare and process daily bank deposits.Review and monitor ACH debit transactions for accuracy and fraud prevention.Receive and process international wire transfers.Perform monthly Chase credit card reconciliation and resolve discrepancies timely.Complete monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.Credit & Compliance AdministrationReview and process AGS Expo vendor credit applications.Manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs), including tracking, verification, and documentation maintenance.Accounting & Financial SupportAssist with month-end and year-end close processes.Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules as needed.Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.Assist with special accounting projects and process improvement initiatives.Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.Additional ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal departments to resolve financial and operational issues.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.Provide backup support for other accounting functions when necessary.Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.3+ years of accounting or senior accounting experience.Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accrual accounting, reconciliations, and cash management processes.3+ years of QuickBooks DesktopStrong Time management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred SkillsAdvanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.Experience with merchant services and corporate credit card reconciliations.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience in events, tradeshows, or service-related industries is a plus.Software Implementation experience is a plus (ex. QuickBooks Online, Xero etc..)· Knowledge of how to navigate the internet as well as sufficient knowledge of PC operating systems. · Must be capable of learning company-specific software/programs. Work Hours: This position requires in-office availability during main business hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
