We know this growth is from the quality service we provide, and are now looking for compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team!We are seeking a full-time dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our home health agency. The HR Manager will play a key role in supporting the HR department by performing a variety of human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and either Spanish or Creole, to effectively communicate with our diverse workforce and community.Responsibilities: Responsible for the recruitment and selection of employees, based on applicant’s credentials and qualifications including training and licensure. Participate in running recruiting events/job fairs. Uses a consistent and non-discriminating process to select employees as follows: Conducts personal interviews on all applicants at the time of recruitment and selection. Obtains two written or verbal follow-up of employment references and job history. Verifies education, experience, training, licensure, or certification, as appropriate to job responsibilities. Selects and employs qualified individuals without regard to gender, race, age, creed, handicap, sexual orientation, or national origin. Coordinates an orientation and training program for all new employees, including an introduction to the organization, staff, and employee rules and responsibilities. Completes all new hire documents including FL new hire form, Form i-9, e-verify, etc. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including performance evaluations, training certifications, and disciplinary actions. Ensures that all employees meet their required mandatory training, keeps records of in-services and files employee's certificate of attendance in the employee personnel folder. Ensures that all employees are in compliance with the mandatory federal, state, and local requirements for employment. Maintains strict professional ethics, confidentiality, and privacy of the employee, patient and/or family members. Assumes responsibility for own personal and professional growth. Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and job satisfaction. Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data to identify trends and develop retention strategies. May assist with the scheduling and operations teams to ensure appropriate staffing of cases, including the placement of qualified caregivers and nurses to meet client needs. May be requested by the Regional Director to attend outside meetings and/or conferences. Supervises the receptionist/HR assistant. Answer the telephone, directs calls, and takes messages using good telephone techniques. Support and assist office staff as needed. Any other duty requested to maintain the operations of the business.Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. 2+years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or home health environment. It requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts. It is primarily a desk job, which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping, and walking, as well as an inordinate amount of telephone communication. Travel is required, by car or airplane to local, out-of-town, or state seminars, conferences, or meetings.
