Senior Assurance Associate

Our client is seeking a Direct- Hire for a Senior Assurance Associate to join their fast-growing accounting firm in the Chicago area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a progressive firm that provides high-quality accounting, auditing, and taxation services to privately held companies and their owners.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, lead, and execute assurance engagements (compilations, reviews, and audits).Analyze and assess financial statements and internal controls.Identify areas of risk and recommend improvements.Supervise, train, and mentor junior team members, providing constructive feedback.Handle complex transactions and provide technical expertise to clients.Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, GAAP, and GAAS standards.Build strong client relationships and ensure timely resolution of matters.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.Five years of accounting experience.At least three years of experience in public accounting (CPA preferred).Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online, Microsoft Office, Caseware, and Datasnipper.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential matters.Skills: microsoft office,quickbooks online,caseware,internal controls,financial statements,risk assessment,accounting,auditing,problem-solving,taxation,client relationships,u.s. gaap reporting,gaap,datasnipper,gaas standards,quickbooks desktop,analytical skills,communication skills,quickbooks,compliance
