Engineering ManagerLocation: Phoenix, AZJob Type: Full-Time, Direct HireSalary: $115,000–$180,000 annuallyPosition OverviewA growing aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its manufacturing engineering function. This position will oversee engineering personnel, support production operations, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate engineering activities between domestic and international manufacturing locations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.Support new product introduction and production readiness activities.Coordinate the preparation of manufacturing plans, travelers, tooling, and technical documentation.Maintain accurate configuration and engineering data within the ERP system.Manage customer drawings, specifications, and document-control processes.Serve as an engineering liaison between multiple manufacturing facilities.Support ITAR, import/export, and applicable regulatory compliance programs.Conduct technical and commercial reviews of new customer purchase orders.Troubleshoot machining, assembly, tooling, and production-related issues.Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies.Perform make-versus-buy analysis and support cost evaluations.Assist with customer communication and technical issue resolution.Monitor departmental workloads, schedules, and performance.Travel to an international manufacturing facility as business needs require.QualificationsBachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering.MBA preferred.At least seven years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Previous engineering leadership or supervisory experience.Strong knowledge of machining and assembly processes.Experience with new product introduction and complex aerospace components preferred.Familiarity with ERP systems, solid-modeling software, and CNC programming.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Strong skills in cost control, negotiation, contract review, project management, and problem-solving.Ability to lead through organizational and operational change.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
