eMetric is a technology platforms provider for K-12 education. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer (Full Stack) to work on our online assessment and Business Intelligence platforms. This position will be responsible for developing new applications and maintaining existing applications along with developing and maintaining unit and behavior tests. This role requires a versatile skill set that includes expertise in front-end and back-end technologies, and the ability to work on databases and server-side logic. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, approachable team player willing to accept varying roles and responsibilities by project. The ideal candidate will have the following: 3+ years of experience in web development using front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, front-end frameworks) 2+ years of experience with back-end development and server-side languages/frameworks (.NET (C#), Node.js) Experience using libraries such as Reactjs for building user interfaces Knowledge of Microservices, Containers and cloud-native tools such as Kubernetes etc. Ability to write basic CRUD queries for mongodb and t-sql Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Experience using unit and behavior test frameworks, libraries and tools Familiarity with responsive design concepts and practices Familiarity with commercial and open source development environments and tools for purposes such as source control, continuous integration, IDE etc Exposure to Agile processes such as Scrum and Kanban BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience Preferred candidate will be local to the San Antonio area or reside within the state of Texas.
