Material Prep Operator

Job Description Key Responsibilities: 1. Saw Room Hand: - Operate sawing equipment to cut metal stock to specified dimensions - Read and interpret work orders and blueprints - Maintain saw blades and equipment - Ensure accurate measurements and precise cuts 2. Material Handler: - Move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products throughout the facility - Organize and maintain inventory in the stockroom - Assist in loading and unloading deliveries - Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely 4. General Duties: - Maintain a clean and organized work environment - Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE - Assist machinists and other team members as needed - Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Basic math skills and ability to read measuring tools- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)- Excellent communication and teamwork skills- Mechanical aptitude and interest in machining Preferred:- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment- Basic understanding of machining processes and tools- Experience with CNC equipment
