Construction Site Manager (Superintendent)
Position OverviewThe Construction Site Manager (CSM) will maintain a full-time on-site presence at the Bethpage project location and oversee all field operations. This role is responsible for ensuring construction activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications, with a strong focus on heavy civil and pipeline work.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a consistent, full-time presence at the project site to oversee daily construction activitiesLead and manage field operations, including subcontractors, labor crews, and site personnelEnsure all work is executed in compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulationsCoordinate and supervise pipeline installation activities, including layout, excavation, installation, and backfillOversee heavy civil construction operations such as grading, trenching, utilities, and infrastructure workMonitor project schedules and proactively address delays or conflicts to maintain timelinesEnforce strict safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on-siteCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignmentConduct site inspections, quality control checks, and ensure adherence to construction standardsManage site logistics, material deliveries, equipment usage, and workforce allocationPrepare and submit daily reports, progress updates, and documentation as required________________________________________QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of construction experienceAt least 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on projects of similar size, complexity, and costProven experience with pipeline installation projects, specifically within Long Island or New YorkStrong background in heavy civil construction and utility infrastructure workDemonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex job sites and multiple subcontractorsWorking knowledge of construction safety standards, OSHA regulations, and compliance requirementsFamiliarity with federal EM 385-1-1 safety standards (Preferred)Experience working on New York public works projects (Preferred)Work EnvironmentFull-time, on-site role based at the Bethpage project locationField-based position requiring extended periods outdoors in varying site conditionsMay require extended hours based on project needs and timelinesThis project is projected to start in early July with a duration of 6-8 months.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Bethpage, NY.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.RequirementsEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
