Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator - Dance and Gymnastics, the Recreation Assistant supports the planning, coordination, and day-to-day operations of dynamic dance and gymnastics programs while helping deliver safe, positive, and engaging experiences for participants and families. This role plays an important part in preparing for special events, performances, and competitions, while providing exceptional customer service and fostering an environment that reflects the City's values. One year work experience in competitive gymnastics team instruction, or one year of experience working in a dance setting to include instruction in multiple dance styles. Must have experience in telephone courtesy, customer service, computer experience and skills in Windows and MS Office software applications. CPR and First Aid Certification required within three months of hire. The employee must have successfully completed their 6-month Introductory Period for eligibility.Recreation Center Membership: Employees and family members are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per person per year.Golf Course Green Fees: Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.
