Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:00 or 07:30 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty License: State or compact licensure required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Travel experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Charting system experience required Description: Responsible for providing nursing care in the interventional radiology unit. Perform pre-procedural paperwork requirements, including history and physical assessments, consent forms, orders, and lab work. Circulate cases for various interventional procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Demonstrate competency in procedural sedation and monitoring. Participate in procedural cases including biopsies, drain placements, and angiograms. Familiar with special equipment such as fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines. Maintain knowledge of infection prevention protocols and emergency procedures. Manage care for patients undergoing procedures with a focus on their well-being. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Exhibit strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with patients and staff.
