Sr. Load & Performance Engineer Remote6-12+ month contractThe OpportunityThe Senior Load and Performance Engineer will join a strong test automation team and will be responsible for defining, creating, and maintaining load and performance tests that support a variety of applications. They will also be incorporating performance validations into the development cycle, running and evaluating both API and front-end-based performance tests, and analyzing performance metrics.What You'll DoDefine, design, develop and maintain automated testing scripts in JMeter and DevWeb/LoadRunner Cloud for a variety of applications and servicesCreate, modify, and maintain Power BI reports using Azure SQL databases and Power BI dataflows to monitor performance metrics.Modify and maintain Javascript API code related to automatically scraping metrics for analytics purposes.Create and modify Splunk queries.Monitor and report analytics data from Microsoft Azure.Troubleshoot and provide suggestions to increase load and performance of applicationsPartner with developers and architects to enhance the stability and throughput of the systemEvaluate production metrics to generate effective load testsResponsible for defining and driving innovative automation testing strategies and toolsets into our overall development processes that support and enhance the current Quality Assurance processes within the organizationParticipate in both the current state and future state of test planning and execution of load and performance testingWork with developers, product owners, application support, and business intelligence teams to help define current and future system performance and load requirementsCollaborate with SCRUM teams to incorporate the effective creation of load tests and user stories in each release cycleCollaborate with other team members to maintain automation testing best practicesOther work-related duties as assignedWhat You'll Bring To The TableTo perform this job successfully, you'll need to be able to perform each essential duty.
