MRI Tech Location: Newark, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,946 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/25/2026 About the Position Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 (12:30 PM - 8:30 PM) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: State license required upon start Certifications: ARRT-R, BLS required; MRI certification preferred Must-Have: - Experience in adult acute care, outpatient, and pediatrics - Proficiency in various MRI procedures including abdomen, pelvis, and brain imaging - Skills in administration of contrast media, starting peripheral IVs, and radiation safety Description: Specialty: MRI Tech. Shift: 5x8, Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM - 8:30 PM. No call, no weekends, and no holidays. Certification in ARRT-R and BLS is required, with MRI certification preferred. Must have state license prior to starting the position. The role involves working with adult patients in acute care and outpatient settings. Candidates should be proficient in various MRI procedures including MR angiograms and venography. Experience in a trauma setting is preferred. The department actively utilizes PACS for imaging storage and retrieval. Isolation precautions and PPE management are part of the job responsibilities. Candidates should have a focus on patient care and safety, particularly in radiation safety protocols. The daily patient workload is expected to be around 20 visits.
