Position: Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager (Controller Track) Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid - must reside locally) Compensation: Up to $130K Employment Type: Direct Hire Confidential SearchAbout the Opportunity:We are conducting a confidential search for a high-growth, entrepreneurial organization seeking a hands-on accounting professional with strong financial analysis capabilities.This role is designed for a top-tier Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or emerging Assistant Controller ready to step into a broader, more strategic position with full ownership of the accounting function and a clear path to Controller.You'll work closely with executive leadership in a lean, fast-moving environment where your impact will be immediate and highly visible.Key Responsibilities:Own the full-cycle accounting function, including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliationsPrepare monthly financial statements and internal reporting packagesPerform financial analysis, including variance and trend analysis to support decision-makingManage cash flow, expenses, and corporate card activitySupport consolidations tied to growth initiatives and acquisitionsAssist with board-level reporting materials (no presentation required)Oversee A/R processes and general ledger activitySupport system upgrades and process improvementsStrengthen internal controls, reporting structure, and overall accounting processesWhat We're Looking For:5-10+ years of experience across accounting and financial analysisProven ability to operate as a self-sufficient, full-cycle accounting ownerStrong understanding of financial reporting and business drivers behind the numbersSolid knowledge of U.S. GAAPExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisBackground in small to mid-sized, fast-paced environmentsExperience with QuickBooks or similar systems (system transitions a plus)Advanced Excel skillsClear trajectory toward or readiness for Controller-level responsibilityWhy This Role:Defined path to ControllerHigh visibility and direct access to leadershipBlend of accounting + financial analysis responsibilitiesOpportunity to own and build the function in a growing organizationCollaborative, entrepreneurial culture with strong growth trajectoryThis is an opportunity for someone who wants more than a typical accounting role-a chance to step in, take ownership, and position themselves as the future finance leader of a growing company.
