You will provide strategic advice to project stakeholders and collaborate with other departments and teams to deliver successful solutions.The ideal candidate can translate client requirements into technical approaches while considering scope and budget. This person is a keen problem-solver, an active participant in strategic discussions, and takes pride in delivering successful projects through clear communication, organization, and high-quality code.ResponsibilitiesArchitect complex custom WordPress solutionsAdhere to and implement WordPress coding standards and best practicesTroubleshoot urgent issuesCollaborate with project managers and development teamsProvide actionable feedback to managers and teammatesEstimate level of effort for project tasksCommunicate with clients to gather requirements and determine the best way to implement solutions Requirements5+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience at an agency level3+ years of experience working with WooCommerceKnowledge of DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Composer, or Buddy WorksExperience with hosting providers such as WP Engine, WP VIP, Pantheon, and AWSAbility to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients and third-party vendorsExperience performing code reviews for peers and giving constructive feedbackExperience integrating external services including payment processors, membership software, CRMs, and Single Sign OnAbility to manage development budgets on a project Nice to HaveAgile and Scrum experienceExperience creating headless WordPress solutions, including Next.js or ReactExperience contributing to open-source projects, including WordPressExperience working with Gutenberg and custom blocksExperience mentoring and leading a teamExperience working within an agencyExperience using ComposerExperience using AI tools Americaneagle.com provides its employees with an energetic work environment and opportunities to further develop their skills. The US-based salary range for this full-time position is $95,000-$130,000 per year. Within this range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
