Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in San Luis Obispo, CA, with the flexibility to work remotely for part of the time. As an Event Operations Specialist, you will manage the planning, organization, and execution of events in support of Cal Poly’s mission. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, liaising with stakeholders, overseeing event operations, managing budgets, handling on-site execution, and ensuring events align with organizational objectives. Collaboration with internal departments and vendors is key to the success of this role. Qualifications Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate event outcomes and budgetary impactsExceptional Communication skills to facilitate coordination between stakeholders, vendors, and team membersProficiency in Operations Management and Project Management to oversee event planning and execution efficientlySales skills to support event sponsorships or partnerships as neededDetail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational abilitiesExperience with event management tools and softwareBachelor’s degree in Business, Event Management, Communications, or a related field is preferred
