Campus Events Operations Lead
Event Operations Specialistwillexecute and run smaller events and helpassistCoordinators and the Director with larger scale events and conferences.Eventsneedingassistanceinclude corporate meetings, career fairs,athleticevents, summer camps, and various other needs on campus.The Event Operations Specialist will also assist our Senior BusinessAnalystwith closing out event billing and invoicing.Specificdutieswilldepend on the event.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResearch appropriate venues and venuesMaintain communication with vendorsManage expenses per the budgetOrder catering for eventsMaintain documentation for each eventHelp set up and tear down eventsDecorate an event spaceTest lighting and audio equipmentComplete errands to help an Event CoordinatorAssist the Director with various assignments and special projects related to eventsDetermine program costDetermine event budgets and adhere to the budgetsManage and oversee participant registrations, payments, and registrationsAssist the Senior Account Analyst to close out the billing of events and invoice clientsManage invoice and billing for facility rentals supporting Cal Poly Partners rentable spacesOther duties as assignedPosition RequirementsGraduation from an accredited four-year universityAbility to perform complex, highly responsible and confidential dutiesExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to prioritize, plan, organize, and meet timelinesAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationship with othersExcellent verbal and written skills and the ability to interface with all levels of staff, Board of Directors, university community, including students, faculty and staff, and the publicInterpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesyAbility to maintain regular and reliable attendancePossession of a valid California Driver's License and satisfactory driving recordA background check is required for all regular benefited positionsThe person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employmentPhysical RequirementsHearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephoneDexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard and calculatorSeeing to read a variety of materialsSitting or standing for extended period of timePhysical agility to lift 50 pounds to shoulder heightPhysical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objectsCommuting on an as needed basis to outside meetings and training locationsJ-18808-Ljbffr
