In this highly collaborative and technical role, you will lead process innovations, guide tooling and assembly strategies, and shape the future of aerospace manufacturing within our Aeronautics Systems sector.We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-tech environment, who can lead senior engineers, and who has a sharp eye for process optimization and producibility.Key Responsibilities:Lead and guide a team of senior manufacturing engineersProvide manufacturing input to design teams for tooling feasibility and optimal production methodsAuthor and manage Tool Usage Instructions (TUI)Define sequence of operations and identify opportunities for process and cost improvementsSupport proposal efforts and cost estimatingCollaborate with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customersTravel to customer sites for tool prove-out as requiredIdentify and implement process improvements to streamline workflow and reduce inefficienciesEnsure adherence to product quality and production schedulesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of experience OR Master's in STEM with 6+ yearsStrong experience in mechanical assembly, tooling, and engineering drawingsWorking knowledge of GD&T and root cause problem-solvingTechnical writing, documentation, and training experienceExperience managing non-conforming material reviews and resolution processesUS Citizenship required and ability to obtain a DoD Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related fieldExperience with military production programsFamiliarity with MRP/ERP tools like SAP, MES, and model-based engineeringProject Management or Earned Value Management experienceExperience working in early production lifecycle and readiness reviewsStrong stakeholder communication skills at all levels
