Engineering Technician

Job Title: Electronics EngineerJob DescriptionThe Electronics Engineer will collaborate with internal and external customers to assist in the design and development of both new and existing products. This role involves providing processing-related technical customer support and researching new and improved methods for processing products. A thorough understanding of electronic assembly, including solder printing processes, pick & place, reflow thermal profiling, automatic inspection, cleaning, x-ray analysis, electrical/functional testing, and SMT troubleshooting, is essential.Responsibilities+ Collaborate with internal and external customers on product design and development.+ Provide technical support related to processing for customers.+ Research and implement new and improved processing methods.+ Understand and apply SMT electronic assembly processes such as solder printing, pick & place, and reflow thermal profiling.+ Conduct automatic inspections, cleaning, x-ray analysis, and electrical/functional testing.+ Troubleshoot SMT-related issues.Essential Skills+ 3+ years of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) experience.+ Engineering Degree or IPC-A-610 Certification.+ Experience in new product development or R&D projects.+ Thorough understanding of SMT electronic assembly and troubleshooting.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Knowledge of IPC standards and hardware design.+ Familiarity with PCB and Surface Mount Technology.Work EnvironmentThe role is based in an R&D new product development manufacturing line, not a volume SMT line.
