CTE/Business Education Teacher
Spearman High School is in search of a Secondary CTE/Business Education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position will pay an additional $3,000 for Master degree. District pays $466 per month towards applicants health insurance.Primary Purpose:Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competecies and skills to function successfully in society.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Bachelor's Degree from accredited universityValid Texas Teacher CertificationSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of curriculum and instructionAbility to instruct students and manage student behaviorStrong organizational, communication and interpersonal skillsExperience:One year student teaching, preferredTeaching Assignment:Principals of Business Marketing and FinanceFinancial MathAccounting I and Accounting IIResponsibilities & Duties:Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of district's curriculum program.Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, equipment and technology that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned and present subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA, board policies, and administrative regulationsWork cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in IEPConduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testingCreate classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of studntsManage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbookEstablish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, collegues and community membersComply with state, district and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers
