HS Composite Science

Spearman High School is in search of a Composite Science teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position will pay an additional $3,000 for Master degree. District pays $466 per month towards applicants health insurance.Primary Purpose:Teaches and facilitates learning and maintains academic progress, discipline and records for students at the secondary level. Works with parents and students to provide and impement classroom education to meet the needs of all students.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Bachelor's Degree;Valid Texas Teacher Certification;Composite Science certifiedSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and studentsKnowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogyAbility and patience to work interactively with studentsSkill in organization, time management, communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to deliver teaching instruction in accordance with improved curriculum and standardsExcellent skills in verbal and written communicationAbility to understand the individual needs of each studentExperience:Secondary teaching experience, preferredResponsibilities & Duties:Instruct through lectures, discussions and demonstrationsEstablish clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects, and communicate those objectives to studentsCollaborate and communicate with staff to meet the educational needs of studentsCreate, administer and grade tests to evaluate student progressEstablish and enforce rules and procedures which help maintain order in the classroomObserve, evaluate and prepare reports on student progressParticipate in faculty and professional meetings, conferences, workshops, and staff developmentObserves, enforces and is directed by the policies, rules and regulations adopted by the district
