Full-Time Teller
Job DescriptionUnited Community Bank is in search of a full-time teller. Candidates will assist customers with various banking needs, offer product information and provide exceptional customer service while presenting a positive image of the Bank. This position meets the needs of customers by providing quality service in the receiving and paying out of money, and accurate record keeping of money and negotiable instruments involved in the bank's various transactions. Must be available Monday thru Friday during banking hours of operation and Saturday morning rotation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Kindly greet all customers immediately upon entry to maintain a welcoming and helpful environmentAssist customers with the various financial transactions including but not limited to inquiries regarding their balances, statements, and general account informationEnsure all customers have been fully assistedUse integrated teller and customer data base software to verify customer information and answer questions customers may have about their accountsProcess loan payments, savings bonds, cashier's checks, and registration stickersHandle checks and cash for deposit; verify amounts and examine checks for endorsement before processingPromptly answer, screen, and forward incoming phone callsAssist and transfer customers to the correct department by using the employee/department directoriesWork towards obtaining qualified customer product referrals each monthCross sell and/or refer applicable bank products via the telephone or to customers in personMaintain a clear understanding of when to put a "hold" on funds and know how to explain that to a customerCapture images on the NDP machineAdhere to cash handling policiesProcess deposits from the night depository box and mailed depositsAdhere to dual control policiesIssue Ace/Gift cardsRe-pin debit cardsMaintain in-depth knowledge of bank products and servicesMaintain knowledge of all regulatory standardsComplete all training and online testing requirements as assignedMaintain familiarity with the Bank policies and procedures related to this position including but not limited to Secrecy Act, OFAC, Check Cashing, and Teller GuidelinesOther related duties as assigned Experience and SkillsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
