Food Service Director

A Skilled Nursing Facility in the Brooklyn Area is searching for a Food Service Director. Brooklyn, NYDuties:Plan, assign, and inspect the work of Food Service staffSchedule and assign staff; prepare department payroll for data entry if requiredSupervise the storage and care of food and suppliesOversee cleaning of the kitchen, storage, dining areas, and equipmentInspect residents’ trays for consistency with specified menusAssist on tray line during mealtimes as neededCoordinate and plan food preparation activities for special eventsHandle ordering and purchasing responsibilitiesConduct staff training and orientationRequirements:CDM certification requiredMinimum high school diploma or equivalentFood service experience in long-term care settings strongly preferredSERV Safe or Sodexo certification preferredStrong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparationSolid leadership and supervisory skillsExcellent communication skillsAbility to work effectively as a team member#LI-DNIEqual Opportunity Employer – M/F/D/V
