Administrative Lead (Volunteer)Organization Description: The CALME Space is a Texas-based nonprofit focused on advancing health equity and economic mobility for older adults and people with disabilities. Through Resource Mapping GIS and data, we identify and address service gaps across the North Texas Metroplex to build communities where belonging is a fundamental need. The CALME Space operates under three pillars: stewarding green spaces for environmental justice, fostering inclusive education and lifelong learning, and promoting workforce pathways through our social enterprise, The CALME Closet.Role Description:This is a remote-friendly, unpaid volunteer position requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to the mission of the organization. As the Administrative Lead, you will serve as the operational heartbeat of the team, managing essential communications to ensure our internal workflows remain seamless.Time Commitment: 1–2 hours per day (Average of 5–7 hours per week)Primarily focused on responding to emails and providing internal communication updates to the CEO.Key Responsibilities: Monitor the organizational inbox and provide timely, professional responses to all inquiries.Serve as the primary point of contact for community members, partners, and volunteers.Provide regular internal communication updates to the CEO regarding urgent tasks and project status.Assist in managing digital files and maintaining organized internal records within Google Workspace.QualificationsStrong customer service skills for effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders and addressing inquiries with empathy.Proven ability in administrative assistance, including managing communication flow and coordinating tasks.Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs) for managing internal administration.Keen attention to detail, organizational aptitude, and the ability to work independently.A reliable and consistent presence to handle daily check-ins and communication threads. Experience with nonprofit operations is a plus, but a heart for the community is essential.Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
