Job OverviewWe are seeking a talented and experienced Rodbuster to join our team! As a critical member of our construction team, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient construction of concrete structures. With your exceptional attention to detail and your passion for the trade, you will help us build the future, one rod at a time.Rodbuster Responsibilities & DutiesReading and interpreting blueprints and other construction documentsInstalling and tying steel reinforcement bars, also known as rebar, to support concrete structuresCalculating and cutting rebar to appropriate lengthsAssembling rebar cages to the required specificationsPlacing and tying rebar into position with wire, pliers, and power toolsWorking safely and efficiently at heights and in confined spacesCollaborating with other trades and tradespeople to ensure construction projects run smoothlyRodbuster Qualifications & SkillsJourneyman certification or equivalent in rebar installationAbility to operate heavy equipment and power toolsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 5 years' experience in rebar installationProven ability to read and interpret construction blueprintsStrong knowledge of safety regulationsAbility to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesAbility to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environmentWillingness to work outside in inclement weather conditionsWillingness to travel throughout New England
