ICCP EMS Analyst II/III
TITLE:EMS AnalystTYPE:ContractLOCATION:King of Prussia, PAONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID:Hybrid, on-site 2x's per weekSTART DATE:April 2026We are seeking an EMS Analyst to support the ongoing operation and enhancement of critical energy management systems. This role focuses on maintaining and improving systems responsible for real-time data exchange, grid reliability, and load balancing. The position will primarily support operations and maintenance activities, with opportunities to expand into more advanced system functions over time.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage requests related to telemetry updates, enhancements, and corrections
Collaborate with external stakeholders to validate and test telemetry data using staging environments prior to production deployment
Utilize historian and trending tools to identify data inconsistencies and drive improvements in data quality and reliability
Administer access and permissions for external partners as system changes occur
Respond to control room and end-user inquiries, performing investigations and implementing resolutions as needed
Coordinate with transmission and generation partners to maintain and update telemetry for new, modified, or retired equipment
Partner with modeling teams to ensure accurate integration of SCADA and measured data into system models
Maintain ICCP data, including tag configuration, object IDs, and system mappings across EMS platforms
Analyze system visibility and recommend additional telemetry to improve grid observability
Review and maintain equipment ratings, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Develop and maintain graphical displays and visual tools for internal and external users
Contribute to ongoing system improvements and support additional EMS-related projects as needed
Support the development and expansion of synchrophasor data systems and related tools
Establish and maintain data communications with grid assets using protocols such as DNP3 and secure transmission standards (e.g., SSL/TLS)
Expand into more advanced system operations and applications over timeQUALIFICATIONSRequiredBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced technical environment
Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation
High level of attention to detail and sound judgment in a critical operations environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
Ability to balance direction from leadership with independent problem-solving
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectivelyPreferredExperience within the energy or utility industry
Experience working in Linux, UNIX, or similar environments
Familiarity with databases and query languages such as SQL
Understanding of electric grid systems, including equipment, topology, and power flow concepts
Basic scripting experience (e.g., Python) to support automation efforts
