Lead Java Engineer (Java / Angular / Node / AWS)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading food distribution company, is seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer to join their growing team! The Lead Engineer will lead a team of 2-3 developers on highly scalable web and mobile applications.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.Design and implement frontend components and user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript.Lead a team of developers with strong communication and effective leadership traits.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Ensure the responsiveness and performance of applications across devices and platforms.Implement and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.Write clean, maintainable code with proper documentation.Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring of junior developers.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).7+ years of professional experience in software development.50/50 fullstack experience.Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, and Ionic.Experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.).Familiarity with mobile application development using Ionic Angular or similar frameworks.Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.Solid understanding of frontend design principles and best practices.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Good communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
