EMR Project Manager (2x)
Position Title: Technical Project Manager (Healthcare IT / EMR)Location: RemotePosition Status: Contract Role OverviewWe are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead complex healthcare technology initiatives, including EMR implementations, system integrations, and optimization projects. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who excels at driving cross-functional collaboration, managing competing priorities, and delivering measurable business outcomes. You’ll own projects end-to-end—balancing scope, timelines, budget, and quality—while partnering closely with senior leadership, clinical stakeholders, and third-party vendors. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & DeliveryLead multiple concurrent IT and healthcare technology projects across the full project lifecycle (initiation through closure)Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and resource strategies aligned with business goalsApply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies based on project needsProactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processesEnsure high-quality deliverables through governance, QA processes, and project standards Stakeholder & Executive EngagementPartner with senior leadership, clinical teams, and business stakeholders to align on priorities and outcomesCommunicate project status, risks, and insights through clear, data-driven reporting and presentationsFacilitate effective meetings and maintain strong cross-functional collaborationNavigate complex or sensitive discussions with professionalism and clarity Healthcare Technology ExecutionLead EMR/EHR implementations and enhancements (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Provation, HST)Oversee HL7 integrations, system interfaces, and optimization initiativesTranslate clinical and business needs into scalable technical solutionsBuild deep understanding of healthcare workflows, operations, and compliance requirements Financial & Vendor ManagementManage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controlsEnsure accurate invoicing, contract management, and financial trackingCollaborate with vendors, consultants, and third-party partners to ensure delivery excellence Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and project delivery frameworksChampion best practices in project management, governance, and technology utilization Qualifications & Experience Required3–5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, IT Project Management, or Healthcare ITProven success delivering EMR/EHR implementations and healthcare technology projectsExperience with HL7 interfaces, system integrations, and healthcare workflowsStrong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologiesExceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in dynamic environmentsProficiency with Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, SharePoint), Microsoft Project, or similar toolsExperience working with cross-functional teams and senior executives PreferredHands-on experience with Epic, Cerner, Provation, HST, or similar EMR systemsBackground in clinical roles (e.g., Nursing, Medical Assistant)Experience with ServiceNow or ITSM toolsPMP, CAPM, or other Project Management certifications EducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or related fieldPMP certification or equivalent is a plus About Seneca Resources:At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
