AHA Certified Clinical Certification Instructor Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Clinical Certification Instructor, where you will deliver essential American Heart Association (AHA) courses and other critical training programs. This role involves coordinating and facilitating classes such as PALS, ACLS, BLS, Heartsaver, PHTLS through NAEMT, workplace violence training, and CEVO Emergency Vehicle Training (for paramedics), along with any additional certifications as assigned. Education: Candidates must be graduates of an accredited paramedic education program or an accredited nursing school. Nurses should have foundational nursing knowledge typically obtained through an Associate's degree in Nursing. Certification/Licensure: Current licensure as a Paramedic, RN, or Compact License in the relevant state is required. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, and CEVO (CEVO only for paramedics) must be current. Instructor status for each discipline taught must be obtained within six months of hire. A valid driver's license is also necessary. Experience: Applicants should have a minimum of three years of clinical experience and at least one year of adult teaching experience in health education. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for maintaining all required documentation for training centers and certifying bodies, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and sanitized, and maintaining regular communication with coordinators and fellow instructors. Participation in ongoing updates to maintain instructor status is expected. The role requires considerable mental focus, physical activity including standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 15 lbs, and some travel within the region. Working Conditions: Typical office environment with frequent off-site work and occasional domestic travel. There is potential exposure to infectious diseases.
