Access Specialist | Patient Registration

You will warmly greet and interview patients and their representatives, accurately collecting demographic and insurance details to support clinical care and reimbursement processes. Your responsibilities include verifying insurance information electronically, resolving discrepancies, and securing necessary consents for treatment and information release. You will also inform patients of their rights in compliance with federal and state regulations, respond promptly to inquiries, and maintain confidentiality in all communications.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Conduct patient interviews and gather accurate registration data.- Verify insurance coverage and resolve any inconsistencies.- Obtain proper admission consents and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.- Collect applicable copays and provide financial assistance information.- Maintain organized records and ensure a clean, efficient workspace.- Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.- Recognize registrations requiring pre-authorization and validate orders thoroughly.Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required. Preference given to candidates with certificates or diplomas in Medical Front Office, CNA, or Medical Terminology.Experience:At least six months of experience in office, call center, customer service, or healthcare settings is necessary. Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment is expected.Requirements:Ability to focus on detail and perform tasks under time constraints. Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, assist and transport patients in wheelchairs, and lift up to 10 pounds. Comfortable working in a busy office environment with occasional exposure to noise and other conditions.
