Director of Quality

Extension is seeking a Director of Quality for a direct-hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Manitowoc, WI!Seeking a Director of Quality to lead enterprise-wide quality strategy across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role oversees QMS, supplier quality, and plant-level execution across machining, fabrication, and welding, while driving accountability and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead multi-site quality strategy aligned with business goalsStandardize and govern QMS; ensure ISO 9001 and customer complianceOversee product/process quality and lead audits (internal, customer, supplier)Own CAPA and drive root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why)Reduce scrap, rework, and cost of poor qualityManage customer quality issues, OEM relationships, and scorecardsLead supplier quality and support NPI, validation, and process changesDevelop teams and drive data visibility through QMS/ERP systemsQualifications10+ years of quality leadership in manufacturingMetals experience (machining, fabrication, welding)Multi-site leadership and strong ISO 9001/QMS expertiseExperience with SPC, MSA, PFMEA, control plans, and supplier qualityStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsEngineering degree preferredSalary & ScheduleOnsite near Manitowoc, travel throughout central WIUp to $170,000 plus bonusFull-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
