This role coordinates with airline staff and internal teams to ensure baggage is handled accurately, transported securely, and processed in accordance with TSA, CBP, airline, airport, and company requirements. The Baggage Concierge Agent must maintain strong attention to detail, handle baggage with care, communicate professionally, and support a smooth baggage service experience for customers, airline partners, and operational teams.RESPONSIBILITIESCollect checked luggage from facility and transport across the AOA to approved drop point at the terminal in compliance with TSA and airline security requirements.Coordinate with airline staff at luggage drop point to ensure luggage is inserted into the hold baggage system (HBS).Collect boarding passes and bag tags issued by the airlines at the main terminal and bring back to facility.Collect checked luggage at the first available drop point, as agreed with each airline, and transport across the AOA to the facility in accordance with TSA, CBP and airline security requirements.Safely lift, load, unload and transport baggage to and from the facilityProtect baggage and other equipment from damage, loss and weather conditionsDrive and operate ground equipment and vehiclesAssist with record-keeping and documentation to ensure correct handling of baggageAdhere to safety guidelines and maintain safe working conditions for yourself and othersCommunicate with managers and lead agents to manage daily schedulesReport equipment problems and breakdowns to facilitate fast repairsQUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 18 years of ageAble to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spacesHigh school diploma or equivalent, such as successful completion of a GEDFamiliarity with basic computer programs to assist with record-keeping and baggage routingPossess a valid driver's license and have a good driving recordPass a physical agility test, depending on the airlineStrong teamwork and collaboration skills to help achieve team goalsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, such as email and phoneFlexible schedule allowing work during nights, weekends and holidaysAdaptability to changing priorities and time management skills.Pass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
