PREVIOUS AIRLINE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!!Department: Atlanta, GA (ATL)SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:Responsible for coordinating Weight and Balance documentation with Load ControlMaintain daily trip files and station traffic report as well as all aircraftHandling related statistical dataSupervision of ramp functionsOperational safety/load security checks on aircraft prior to departure, which also includes the coordination of all operational activities during irregularitiesCoordination of all phases of aircraft handling, including catering, cleaning, fueling, crew and passenger boarding/de-boardingLoading/unloading, including checking on correct buildup/preparation of cargo - destined for bulk loading or in unit load devicesEnsure all cargo or luggage is properly tied down or secured in the compartmentsClose coordination with gate, steering of boarding and de-boarding related passenger service processesSecure the proper handling of BagscanProvide daily monitoring report to the Manager about handling performance, document delays and reasonsResponsible for LBI (Left Behind Baggage Index) controlEnsure implementation of new procedures, processes or product features and enhancementsPlan for and ensure that irregularities are always handled in accordance with customer, economic and legal considerationsReport any flight handling irregularitiesEnsure that all aspects of the ground handling operation are in accordance at all times with Safety, Security and Legal regulationsPerformance and proper documentation of checks performed under the station operations surveillance conceptRequired SkillsREQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS NEEDED:At least 18yrs old, with a High School Diploma or G.E.D.Must be able to obtain security clearance from US Customs and Border Protection which requires valid proof of citizenship or authorized residencyBackground Check, Fingerprinting requiredDrug Screen required prior to the day of hireEnglish proficient, other languages may be requiredFlexible schedule & availabilityAble to stand 3-4 at a timeReading & comprehension of reference materials, instructions, policies & proceduresAble to travel for trainingProfessional demeanor and exceptional presentationRequired Experience.Terminal and Airport operations knowledge and experience preferredRetail and/or Hospitality work experience requiredMinimum 12 months airline experience preferredRamp & Bag room experience preferredProficient knowledge of airline product systems and proceduresKnowledge of airline computer systemsAbility to perform under pressureAbility to work in teams and lead ramp team
