Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750 – $2,890 Location: Hyannis, MA (Cape Cod) — Hyannis 02601 Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026) Shift: 8-hour day shifts (7:00am – 3:30pm), 40 hours/week Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site Qualifications / Job Requirements At least 1 year of recent OB / Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience within the past 2 years (OB nurse, L&D RN, perinatal experience) Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred) Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Successful completion of facility pharmacology exam Documented fetal monitoring course (Intermediate or Advanced) within past 2 years Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English CPI (Crisis Prevention) certification preferred Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation (perinatal, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum) Perform fetal monitoring, interpret tracings, and document fetal assessment findings Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including labor induction/augmentation protocols Serve as a resource and preceptor for staff, assist with orientation, and support ancillary personnel Maintain accurate, timely computerized nursing documentation and patient records Summarize assessment data and initiate individualized plan of care in collaboration with allied health providers Demonstrate charge nurse responsibilities as assigned, including unit coordination and triage Provide patient and family education on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and compliance with blood/body fluid policies Maintain ongoing professional development and stay current on L&D clinical practices and regulations Represent the hospital professionally in the community and maintain patient confidentiality Deliver service excellence to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Why join us?
