Project Manager - Commercial Solar (LADWP / EPC)
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead commercial solar and energy projects across the Los Angeles market. This role is focused on full lifecycle execution of commercial installations, including permitting, utility coordination, and field operations. The ideal candidate has direct experience managing commercial solar or energy EPC projects and understands local utility and jurisdictional processes. This position is critical to reducing operational bottlenecks and allowing leadership to step out of day-to-day project execution.ResponsibilitiesManage commercial solar and energy projects from pre-construction through PTOLead permitting, inspections, and utility coordination processes, including interconnectionInterface directly with utilities and jurisdictions, including LADWP and Southern California EdisonOversee field crews, subcontractors, and project schedules across multiple active jobsRead and interpret construction drawings, electrical plans, and project specificationsOwn project timelines, budgets, and execution without heavy oversightIdentify and resolve technical and operational issues that impact project deliveryMaintain project documentation, reporting, and internal communicationEnsure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and regulatory requirementsRequirements7+ years of project management experience in commercial solar, renewable energy, or electrical constructionDirect experience managing commercial (not residential-only) solar or energy projectsStrong knowledge of LADWP, SCE, or Southern California utility processesProven ability to manage projects end-to-end with minimal hand-holdingExperience coordinating permitting, inspections, and utility interconnectionAbility to read and interpret electrical and construction plansExperience managing field teams and multiple concurrent projectsBackground in solar EPC, electrical contracting, or energy infrastructure strongly preferredBenefitsCompensation: Competitive salary based on experience.Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
