Travel Nurse Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,530 – $1,610 Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (historic downtown waterfront area) Unit: 8W Neuro/General Surgery — 24-bed neuroscience-focused acute care unit Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel Nursing Job) Duration: 13 weeks (Start: April 13, 2026 – End: July 13, 2026) Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30), 36 hours/week Weekend Requirement: 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Holiday Rotation: Required Orientation: 16 hours Charting / EHR: EPIC Scrub Color: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements and Qualifications Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience (neuro/neuroscience experience preferred) Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN License (pending licenses considered with proof of application) BLS certification required Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS Ability to float within scope as needed across med/surg and neuro caseloads Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Responsibilities — Med/Surg / Neuro RN Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a neuroscience-focused acute care Med/Surg unit Manage patient ratios typically 1:4–1:5 depending on staffing and acuity Provide care for neuro and general surgery patients, including pre/post neurosurgery, CVA/stroke, MS/Tele cases Collaborate with rapid response/code teams; perform peripheral IV line care/management Administer oxygen therapy, manage isolation precautions and proper PPE use Document care accurately in EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Case Management and Social Work Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations as part of the care team Why Join Our Healthcare Team in Charleston?
